Mixed Tape Love

Today at work one of my colleagues made a comment about all the Lady Gaga and Ke$ha I probably have on my iPhone. (*Author's Note: I have neither Lady Gaga or Ke$ha on my phone*) He was trying to tease me about all the 'garbage' people my age listen to and that we know nothing of rock or good music.

So I decided since he clearly knows nothing about me, I'd make a mixed tape to enlighten him.
I love mixed tapes except they're a lot of work; work I didn't want to spend on this project.  So to create my simple mixed tape I hit the shuffle button on my iPhone and put all the songs in the same order onto a CD until no more music would fit.

Here's my "Shuffle Mix"-

Cold War - Janelle Monae
Show Stopper - Peaches
Hengilas - Jónsi*
Keep Yourself Alive (Live) - Queen
Tired of Sex - Weezer
Mondegreen - Yeasayer
The Closing - Silverchair
Baptism - Crystal Castles
Boombox  - The Lonely Island (ft. Julian Casablancas)
Synchronicity II - Police
I Heart California - Admiral Radley
Moves - The New Pornographers
When We Were Alive - The Thermals
Ashish - Enon
Suffragette City - David Bowie
Apples for the Innocent - Say Hi
All My Heroes are Weirdos - !!!
1000 Cigarettes - MSTRKRFT
White Lines (Don't Do It) - Grandmaster Melle Mel

*I'd just like to point out that Jónsi's Go Do is one of my most favourite albums of all time.  I had the privilege of seeing him in May and it was one of the best concerts I've ever been too.  I cried during Grow Till Tall it was so beautiful and intense
